Amsterdam: Initial impressions
Having been in Amsterdam for 4 days now, I feel my initial impressions have changed and the place is slowly growing on me. When we first arrived, it was all a bit daunting with the endless streams of bikes trying to run us over; and all the streets looking very similar made it hard to find your way around. But after a few days of settling in I'm starting to really like being here. The galleries and studios that we have visited have made us very welcome through their hospitality, with offers of tea and coffee on arrival. The amount of contemporary jewellery that we have seen within Amsterdam alone has been fairly full on and we only have more to look forward to seeing when we get to Munich next week for the long awaited Schmuck. Doi!
