Today was our free day in Amsterdam, so Georgia and I went to Anne Frank's Huis and it was like we were 17 again. I remembered having read the book at school, and even though I'd never been to the house before, it seemed all too familiar in the ways the rooms had been described. It was all a little eerie, especially when we went up to the secret annex, where the families had been in hiding. I feel that the story of Anne Frank has a somewhat bitter sweet ending, as even though her diary was published, she would never know it....
